Documents issued by the group Contre-attaque, in Paris, include the manifesto "Contre-attaque / union de lutte des intellectuels révolutionnaires" with 14 signatories following the phrase "Mort á tous les esclaves du capitalisme!" and dated Paris, 10/7/35, and second copy of the manifesto with 39 signatories. Other documents concern the proposed publication, "Les cahiers de 'Contre-attaque'," including an announcement of upcoming booklets, beginning in January 1936, with summaries of several of the booklets to be written by Bataille, Breton, Heine, Péret, Klossowski, and others; a subscription form for "Les cahiers de 'Contre-attaque'"; and a roneotyped letter written by Georges Bataille in which he asks for financial support for the publication of "Les cahiers de "Contre-attaque'" and states that political action seems to be a novelty to most of the "comrades."
